Employee Assistance Program

The S&T Employee Assistance Program was developed to offer benefit eligible employees who are experiencing workplace or personal problems impartial and compassionate help. The Counseling Staff is available to provide confidential counseling, consultation, or programmatic responses to faculty or staff experiencing difficulties.

Confidentiality is protected within legal limits for interactions with our faculty/staff and these records are not a part of your personnel record. Unless you reveal that you are seeing someone here, no one will know.

There is no charge for our service. Full-time employees are eligible for up to 5 counseling sessions.

For some issues, a phone consultation may be all that is needed (see our Counseling main page for a complete description of these services). Some supervisors may want our help to create or present a program (see main page) to address workplace issues. In some cases, faculty and staff may be referred to community agencies/resources/physicians for more complete care.

We encourage you to make use of these services by calling 341-4211 and speaking with the secretary who will direct your call appropriately.
